Miss you Dad

Dad, Today marks the 3rd anniversary we laid you to rest. Although I miss you very much , my heart is lighter knowing you are now at peace. There are days when I just take a few moments and reflect on the love, joy & laughter you brought my family. Your grandchildren certianly have fond memeroies of spending time with you playing/teasing with them when they were little, you were a much welcomed instigator. As they grew older you were able to teach them some life lessons and share their adult lives. Ryan, Justin and Ashleigh still say you made the best drinks, they loved sharing a "few" with you. They all are married and have families of their own. Some of the little ones you met , the others know of you from family pictures and the endless stoires. When they hear thunder ,I'm told grandpa got a stike. Many times they look up to the stars in the sky and wish grandpa a good night, and tell you that you are loved and missed. Frank will often talk about the time spent with you golfing or just plain talking and relaxing, he always called you dad, and you hold a special place in his heart. Now me, the stubborn one. I miss seeing the smile on your face and the absolute love and twinkle in your eyes. There are times when I just sit and talk to you, let you know how everyone is doing, and thank you for being my dad. You were always there to give me advise whether it was for my personal life or work. To this day, I draw on our conversations. When I found myself faced with illness, you were there to support , encourgae me and make me smile. You told me everything would be ok. Most of all thanks for always being there Dad, and showing me what being a family is all about. Know the family is doing well. Thank you for watching over us.. Love you too Dad, always and forever. Karen & Frank xxoo
