Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 75.
Beloved wife of Alex Acorn for 52 years.
Dear mother of Ted and his wife Mary Ellen, of Kitchener, David of Whistler, BC and Brent and his wife Brenda of Kitchener. Grandmother of Zachary and Laura. Sister of Betty and her husband Dave Neufeld of Kitchener, Laureen and her husband Larry Lyman, of Gould Lake and Gail Book of Stoney Creek. Sister-in-law to Florence Maddocks, Norma Morris, Hazel McCall and Hilda Ross. Ruth is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Charles and Hilda (nee Moore) Jefkins, sister Ella Mae Jefkins in infancy, sister-in-law Mirium Good and brother-in-law Willy Acorn.
We deeply mourn the loss of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and rejoice that God has taken Ruth into His loving arms. She will be missed and remembered always. Ruth was a faithful member of Heidelberg Bible Fellowship, an avid reader, knitter and Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
Ruth's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 7-9 PM on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Saturday from 10 - 10:45 AM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, September 15, 2007 in the chapel of the funeral home.
